Tracy Antonopoulos (who, dare I guess? is of greek origins) and Gia Coppola, directed this short film  for the launch of the new line of Opening Ceremony. The atmosphere certainly has the distant touch of Sophia Coppola, who is Gia’s aunt ,which for me is a good thing, All n all the film is cute and funny!
I like the way O.P. decided to show their new clothes! Quite a mix isn’t it?
Unfortunately I cannot embeed the video (why?? does anybody know?) but if you click the picture you will be redirected to vimeo!

candle heels and more

If Nicholas Kirkwood is not the most talented shoe designer of our generation, then I don’t know who is! The first close-ups of the Rodarte show are now up on Jak & Jil for us to fully admire the craftmanship and the craziness these shoes bare! Any ideas how he made the heels glow?

black gold

February 19, 2010

Usually I ‘m not fond of Diesel.  Seems to me that they have lost their goal and they produce very busy and unedited sportswear. But, since this season we find Sophia Kokosalaki on the wheel of the “Black Gold” line I thought that I ought to give it a look!  Sophistication incorporated into Diesel’s raw and dirty style, which clearly means: success. My 4 favorite looks below

another skirt

February 9, 2010

This fabric was in my closet for a long time until I decided I had to do something with it! So here is my new diy skirt with elastic belt which is supposed to be a balloon. Don’t let the picture fool you! 🙂  The ring is from Dimitra Maurikou, a very talented indie designer who is to be found in my favourite M.E.E.T Market, make sure you check her out!

fluo on nude

February 3, 2010

I really love it when opposites meet, that’s why this is one of my new favourite summer obsessions! Seen on Valentino ss10 haute couture but also making discreet appearances on shoes this pop of a hot fluo color is making the subtle and pale backgrounds (wood, taupe, nude) look sporty and fresh!

Top Shop continues the collaborations with up and coming designers. This time I feel a tiny pinch of pride since this one is a greek who’s making it big abroad! Isn’t it a little sad, though, that if you dream of becoming a fashion designer the only way to make it is if you pack your bags and “migrate”? Anyway we will have to wait until late February to obtain one piece (or more!), so thanks on line shopping and dear credit card, I will keep that in mind!
