the magician

March 18, 2011

Months ago inspired by a certain Killers video I was planning on making black feather shoulder pads but never got to finish them. Saturday comes and yes it does hosts the magician, a party with a call for glitz and frills. And I ‘m making them and wearing them and then Bad Spencer comes along and says: I like your interpretation of the Black Swan! Noooooo!

another skirt

This fabric was in my closet for a long time until I decided I had to do something with it! So here is my new diy skirt with elastic belt which is supposed to be a balloon. Don’t let the picture fool you! 🙂  The ring is from Dimitra Maurikou, a very talented indie designer who is to be found in my favourite M.E.E.T Market, make sure you check her out!

Yes it’s his shirt and if he finds out he is not gonna be happy! 🙂 But the skirt is 100% 1015lab because apart from the sewing I also did the tie-dying! The result was not exactly what I expected.. it was better! I was going for a 90’s old t-shirt effect and what i got is a 00’s vampire blood spatters effect, win – win!

two projects

Sorry goths in hot weather, you still crack me up every now and then, but this is just hillarious!  Many of us love etsy,  and we have a reason! Handcrafted jewelry, vintage picked with care and love, very good quality clothing, again made with care and love.. But sometimes to find all these you have to dig deep under piles of ..

brooklyn industries

November 3, 2009

When I was in New York I run across many Brooklyn Industies shops. I ‘d heard the brand before but wasn’t very familiar with their designs. Mostly they stock simple logo free tees and hoodies but you can also find great bags, knits and skirts with a characteristic neighborhood feel! Many of them are produced localy in the U.S. even though the great prices do not reflect that! A breath of fresh air if you are used to “made in China” products I can tell you!
